It is impossible now to unravel how it all happened, but it is clear that food, family and restaurants have always been blurred together in our lives. Whether it was in Israel or in Australia our love affair with food ultimately led to the whole family working together at Taboon.
Our children always wanted to be part of the team and worked their way through the ranks from a young age. As the mantle passes to their hands it will be exciting to see where the story leads.
From humble beginnings in 2006 Taboon has grown to become an iconic Gold Coast destination for locals and tourists. All are drawn by our unique, quirky spin on traditional Middle Eastern Cuisine. They meet, relax and share a table at our restaurant in Robina.
It always was (and still is) all about the food inspired by the bakeries, hummus and grill houses of that region. Welcome to our world of warm pitas, vibrant dips, share platters, slow-cooked tagines, marinated meats, scented creams, spiced teas and syrupy pastries.
